ABOUT THE WORK
“After Hours” brings together skateboarding culture and the world of Studio 54, two nocturnal spaces shaped by movement, freedom, rebellion, and belonging. Two skateboards are covered in mirrored mosaic, one broken from use, becoming a record of the sleepless hours spent returning to something you love. The mirrored surface draws a line between the rawness of concrete and the seduction and escapism of the dance floor. Both cultures exist at the edges of convention, creating their own rituals, identities, and fleeting moments of freedom after dark.
